The course will focus on international security and peace through an analysis of intelligence, weapons of mass destruction, terrorism, cybersecurity etc. The relationships between international security, national security and human security will be scrutinized critically. A particular attention will be paid to highlight the historically changing nature of the war and peace. The course would draw on a number of historically specific wars and peace efforts to explore the reasons for the emergence of wars and the factors that influences the long lasting wars.
