Gender and Politics course traces the emergence of gender as concept in politics and discusses the different approaches towards this concept. How the political and social scientists evaluate this concept, and their methodologies will also be discussed. Moreover, how specific institutions are gendered and how the specific policies were created to tackle the inequalities between different genders will be investigated. Case studies will include European Union, Istanbul Convention and the relations between Turkey and the West.
